This is really cool. I can get Synaptics trackpads for free out of the electronics recycling at my university, so I might do this for a desk lamp. They usually come with physical buttons, so I think I'll use those for on/off, and maybe the tracking area of the trackpad to aim the task light using servos (though it might be easier to aim it by hand). If I use RGB LEDs, I'll probably keep the color channels controllable so it can imitate some fancy iLED surgical lights (which might be a better use of the tracking area).

The purpose of this DIY isn't to help you get away speeding and running red light cameras. You got speeding fines ...because you were speeding. Obey the signals pls.. This DIY should only be used for information purposes.

After 2 speeding fines in 4 days (4 years ago for my last one) I have decided to build something like this. The source code looks like a great place to start. I will be dropping the OLED screen and just using the status LED that will be mounted in the drivers view. As a driver you don't have time to look at a screen but a flashing LED quickly gets ones attention.

Hi, congratulations for your work!
I have the SHT11 humidity and temperature sensor and the arduino uno board so i tried to compile your code.
However, the compiler does not find the libraries that you mention.. Where can I find these libraries?? As far as the avr/sleep and the avr/power, would I use the library avr? Also, I am not going to use the OLED display.. Do you have a simplier code to suggest? I just want to see the results of humidity and temperature on the serial monitor of arduino. My final target is to switch on a dehumidifier via a relay board but i can't go on unless I take the right results from the sensor. Your help would be very important to me, because I have to finish my final year project. Thank you in advance.
